Massage Therapy

The body is an indispensable tool in our day-to-day life; it should be nourished and be taken care of just like our mental health. The practice of therapeutic massage helps in that endeavor. Therapeutic massage focuses on relieving pressure from stress, relieves pain, irritability, tension, worry, anxiety, and depression so the body can return to a relaxed state, and it can continue working as it should.

Studies show that massage therapy can provide benefits to those with mental health issues. It can reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, activates neurotransmitters that can decrease anxiety and lower stress hormone levels, and can help lower your heart rate as well as high blood pressure, alleviating symptoms of illness or disease. Nowadays, most jobs are sedentary experiences that cause body aches and tense muscles.

However, today there are different techniques that specialize in treating specific body pains. For example, Swedish Massage applies light to medium pressure that helps relieve stress, reduce pain, boost mood, and promote relaxation. Another technique like the Deep Tissue Massage treats the deepest layer of muscles directly to target knots and release chronic muscle tension. Trigger Point Therapy is specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release.

Danita K Jones is an experienced Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). She has worked for several wellness centers over a period of eight years. She is certified in several therapeutic massage like deep tissue, soft tissue, and myofascial release. Therefore, she offers swedish/relaxation massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and myofascial massage.

Talk to Danita about your problems, and let her work her magic. She will choose the right type of therapeutic massage to alleviate your pains.
